About Me
(She/her)
Trained geologist, Pilates instructor, and breastfeeding counsellor, hoarder of yarn (for crochet), dice (for dungeons and dragons) and vinyl records. Lifelong writer and general word enthusiast, I am currently working on three novels, and if my neurodivergent brain cooperates, I might even finish them one day. I enjoy fantasy/sci-fi and smashing the patriarchy. I live in Perth, Australia on an urban micro-farm with my partner, three kids, and five chickens.
About This Blog
Absurd and Wondrous is all about finding meaning through connection. I am a realio-trulio flawed human being sharing my experiences and insights in the hopes that something I’ve written hits you in the feels, makes you smile on a bad day, or helps you express yourself by giving you words for something real inside you.
The main categories Absurd and Wondrous represent the irrational, often chaotic, internal world, and the exquisitely ordered natural world outside our selves. As such, Absurd is where I keep my random musings, entertaining and creative works, and personal stories. Wondrous is meant to provide information and support, filtered through the lens of my own experience and my twisted sense of humour.
Like my brain, this site follows a complex and mysterious organizational system. If you’re looking for something specific, you can search for a specific topic here:
